How long will it take to get to the first page in the search engine rankings?

There are no hard and fast rules for how long it could take to get a top ten position, as it is dependent on many different factors. For example, how much competition do you have in your industry? Are the keywords you want very popular and wanted by many others? Are your direct competitors currently running an aggressive campaign that you have to combat to achieve a higher ranking? For extremely competitive industries we may have to be several layers of SEO marketing interacting together to push you past your competitors.

Can you get me to the number one spot in my industry?

Possibly, but again it will depend on how competitive your industry and it won’t be a quick process. There may have to be many layers of SEO to cover everything necessary to achieve that high spot – and a continually maintenance programme to keep you there.

Is PPC and SEO expensive?

It can be depending on which industry you are in and how competitive it is. You would expect the banking industry to be much more competitive than say the garden shed industry.

What is the difference between a primary and secondary keyword?

Primary keywords are those that you most want your ads to appear for when your potential customers do a search for them, for example ‘red shoes’. A secondary keyword would be a longer phrase containing your primary keywords which you would also want to appear for if someone searched for them, such as ‘the best red shoes in Manchester’.

Do I have to have both primary and secondary keywords?

No, but we do recommend you have them both as secondary keywords give much more supportive power to the first when they work together, and will also appear in the ranking in their own right.

For example, obtaining links from bad sources rather than building credible links from reputable sites is frowned upon, as is keyword stuffing until the text is unreadable. Other dubious activities could include create genuine looking ‘fake’ homepage which disappears when you click the link and becomes a page full of adverts.

Would you do Black Hat SEO for me?
